The View

Here are the advantages:

• 5 minute drive to see my son, which means week-day dad stuff
• 20 minute drive from San Fransisco... hello social life!
• Easy access to some of the most beautiful hiking in California on Mt. Tam
• Walking distance to a shopping center with all of my major necessities: groceries, banking, restaurants, coffee
• Cute, quiet, safe (though admittedly overpriced) living in Mill Valley
• A wonderful home that has everything I need: treadmill, big ass TV, fireplace, awesome kitchen, room for Drew, and even a white (needs repainting) picket fence
  

pondering a celebration

So it's my birthday (31st if anyone's counting) this coming Sunday... same as Easter. I don't have the kiddo. I'm thinking of a low-key dinner thing on Saturday in the city. Anyone have any suggestions as to where? I'm pretty open to whatever since I don't have any favorites yet. Mainly I just want some good company. I'm also thinking about taking in a Giant's game sometime this weekend. Who's down for what?

This is what happens when you go on an 18 mile hike from Stinson Beach to San Francisco (over the Golden Gate). That happened this past Saturday and my feet still aren't talking to me.

This little dingy sits on a street near my house. It's been there since I moved in. It's old and lonely. I wonder what its story is. I think it feels longing for the water... but really that's just me projecting.
